Tristan Brotherton

Tristan's interests in life revolve around communication. After founding a successful web design agency in 1999, he then went on to start the HR software company, FluidHR Ltd, that produced the UK's first online staff screening software platform (EVS). After Tris sold his company it was acquired by the multinational Kroll Inc and is now running the employee hiring and screening processes in the world's largest financial institutions.

After reading tales of the wonderful engineers and scientists in Eastern Europe, Tristan moved to Ukraine, hiring around thirty full-time staff and setting up a successful outsourcing company. There he spent most of his time building software for clients ranging from the World Health Organisation, International Investment funds and various other work-flow solutions. He also found time to start a mobile content and gaming company spin-off called GoMobile. Tris is also very proud that he managed to keep to his software delivery schedule in the middle of the Ukrainian revolution.

Most recently Tristan was the VP of Emerging Technologies for ROO Media / KIT Digital, one of the world's largest online publicly traded video networks.

Tristan is very fond of making large robotic flying objects. His favourite tipple is the simple Old Fashioned made at Alembic
