About Ambient Industries

Ambient Industries has three original founders, plus Dave who dilly-dallied a bit, and all of us are writing lots of code.

Roger and Jane both worked at Psion, where they were responsible for the comms and the kernel, respectively. Their code was the foundation of the bigger codebase that became Symbian OS, and great chunks of it still runs in millions of phones all over the planet today.

In 2003, Roger moved to the South of France and TI, while Jane wrote a big fat book about the Symbian kernel. She recommends it as an unusual doorstop/soporific product combination. Tiring of the endless sunshine and the wonderful food, they joined Dave in snowy Ukraine – land of cold, gas cuts and pork with cheese. On the positive side, it was there they all met Tristan, who was busy starting outsourcing companies in Ukraine and various other shenanigans

Fast forward to the present day, where the four of us have came together to build flook. If you haven't heard enough already, you can find out more about Jane, Rog, Tris and Dave. Or a little more about our first application, flook.

Ambient Industries is happily funded by Eden Ventures and Amadeus Capital. If you are an investor who would like to learn more about our company and product, you're welcome to get in touch.

If you're a very talented developer with a great sense of humour and a huge collection of hats, come and join us. We are looking for people who love their UI and feel at home writing beautiful Objective C or Python. That you? Get in touch or find out what openings we have currently. We are working on something cool. You'll love it.
